A cushion cut diamond is a square to slightly rectangular with rounded corners and 58 brilliant style facets that resembles a pillow shape. It presents a less expensive but similar look to the round brilliant cut diamond for the same weight and has thus gained in popularity. As with all diamonds buyers should look for stones that are not too deep or too shallow with very good symmetry of the facets.
