My path into the Jewellery Industry happened quite by chance when I started working part-time as a sales assistant for a major Jeweller at the Waterfront, Cape Town while studying. I was offered a full time position and gave up my studies as I was not passionate about them.

In time I found that my passion and interest lay in diamonds, gemstones and watches and dealing with customers looking to buy beautiful things. Eventually I was made the manager of an upmarket jeweller at the Waterfront. I have completed courses such as the Diamond Grading Diploma with the European Gemmological Laboratory but my real knowledge has come from the practical experience of dealing with clients from all over the world and handling jewellery, diamonds and gemstones for over twenty years.

My entrepreneurial spirit was awakened and in 2004 I came across a small jewellery shop for sale which I turned into Stefan’s Jewellery and Gems. Over ten years I have established trusted relationships with suppliers and clients and built Stefan’s Jewellery and Gems into the success it is today, serving local and international customers who love beautiful jewellery and gems.

Stefan’s Jewellery and Gems was founded in 2004 and is located in the tree lined pedestrian St. Georges Mall in Cape Town around the corner from the famous Green Market Square and a short walk from the Company Gardens.

A small shop it is however endowed with a wide range of ready to wear jewellery in precious metals and a comprehensive selection of diamonds and gemstones.

Unlike some upmarket jewellers the shop is very inviting and not intimidating as you will be greeted and served by the owner Stefan and his mother Margaret. Customer loyalty is of the utmost importance and high quality is strived for.
